A sweeping view over the RISECCOLI vineyards

The RISECCOLI estate has always been driven by the belief that our best wines are yet to come, going back to when we became an original member of the Gallo Nero or Chianti Classico Consortium, Italy's oldest winemakers' association.

This means we are constantly striving to improve our wines and never settle for the usual or the ordinary. Every new vintage is seen as an opportunity to express the intrinsic qualities of the RISECCOLI terroir.

Our vineyards are spread over 16 hectares (40 acres). These are mostly planted with the indigenous Sangiovese varietal and each vineyard is specifically planted according to its soil characteristics and position.

Vinification, bottling and aging of all of the RISECCOLI wines take place exclusively at the estate.

Our Chianti Classico wines are recognised as one of the purest expressions of Sangiovese within the Greve in Chianti area.

Tenuta RISECCOLI also bottles a 100% Petit Verdot. In 2006 we were – and possibly still are – the first estate to bottle Petit Verdot as a mono-varietal wine in the Chianti Classico zone.

Both have contributed to establishing the estate's reputation as one of the most respected and innovative small-scale wineries in the Chianti Classico region.
