The 2006 vintage was RISECCOLI’s first release with this non-traditional mono-varietal – particularly rare for Tuscany. The Petit Verdot grape tends to ripen late in the season and is very well-suited to one of the most sun-exposed slopes on the estate.
The Petit Verdot grapes are typically harvested the third week of October. The must macerates for 20 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and then the wine is racked in French barriques, of which half are new, before being bottled.
