Tenuta RISECCOLI can be found within the unspoiled beauty of the Tuscan hills between Florence and Siena, very near the prime viticultural village of Greve in Chianti.
Greve is the gateway to the Chianti Classico zone, the most acclaimed of the 8 Chianti wine sub-zones. It is within easy reach (25km) from Florence and Siena (30km) on the scenic Chiantigiana road and is the perfect base to explore the numerous gems the region has to offer.
For example, approximately one kilometre west of Greve lies the charming hilltop village of Montefioralle, one of the most ancient villages of Tuscany and rated among the most beautiful and preserved villages of Italy.
Greve, which claims to be the capital of Chianti, also has plenty of restaurants, wine bars and shops, delicatessens, fruit & vegetables shops offering the freshest local Tuscan produce, as well as a lovely Saturday morning market and the popular Antica Macelleria Falorni, arguably Italy's most renowned artisan butchery.
The RISECCOLI winery, cellar and tasting room are conveniently located on the grounds of the 17th century Romanelli family house and are surrounded by the estate's vineyards and olive groves. Theproperty is perfectly situated in the middle of the countryside with views extending as far as the Apennine chain of mountains. The estate is also graced with two restored case coloniche, or traditional farmhouses, which retain many of their original features, but now also include modern facilities and offer our guests spectacular views of the incredibly beautiful surrounding landscape.
